Installation-performance, between dance and care
(creation 2025/26)
“Acalentos” is a choreographic research which starts from the desire to address care through dance: care towards others, towards a community, towards oneself.
Based on experiments around cradling, this choreographic research is an invition to reflect on the relationship between dance and health. We propose the creation of a installation-performance, “Acalentos”, imagined for unconventional and public spaces. The creation aims to establish other modes of interaction between artists and the audience. In order to nourish the creative process, it is planned public engagement activities and scientific support in collaboration with structures and professionals in the health and medico-social sector. Through practical workshops, interviews, voice recordings and the sharing of personal stories, these activities invite us to revisit cradling in adults and to nourish the bond between artists and caregivers, patients, residents and researchers. |
