R.O.I.
An immersive and itinerant experience for all audiences
Created for the Palais du Tau in 2021, this choreographic piece addresses the ritual of the crowning of the kings of France and its symbolism. It questions the themes of power, transformation and choice. From a study of the stages of the crowning ritual: the awakening, the crowning, the celebration and the leaving of the king towards the people, Vinicius creates two animal figures: the lion (king of the earth) and the eagle (king of the sky).
He questions the natural process of the human being who seeks, through strength, to achieve power and recognition. Two masked figures in blue and gold costumes (the emblematic colours of French royalty) carry this story about human the behavior. Led by the original music, the audience follows the duo through poetic and, at times, comical moments, making the audience dream and laugh. VAN GOGH : THE ARTIST IN TURMOIL
Itinerant performance for all audiences
Created within the walls of the Abbey of Montmajour, "Van Gogh, the artist in turmoil", speaks about the artist and his creation. It focuses on the period when Van Gogh lived in Arles between 1888 and 1889. It is at this time that the artist began to show the first symptoms of a mental illness, but it was also the time when Van Gogh was in intense creative activity. He painted one of his most famous pictures, The Sunflowers.
Weaved together by the various letters he sent, especially to his brother Theo, the show sheds light on the life of an artist: his moments of creative joy, his daily battles against fear, uncertainty and financial deprivation, his relationships with other artists, his desire for recognition and his moments of madness. In these letters, we find a deep and sensitive confession. Intended for a family audience, this interactive show saw its premiere in 2021 in the Abbaye de Montmajour in Arles, during the event "Contes et Histoires" event.
